| SCROLL
MULTICORE CONCEPTS |
| The
multicore scroll series are single-stage, air-cooled,
oil-free scroll compressors. The multicore scroll
compressors are available from 8HP to 20HP and consist of
two, three or four compressor modules. The units are
offered as silenced pack and full feature variants with
integrated R 134a refrigerant dryer. |
| EFFICIENCY
IN OPERATION |
| Multicore
units are equipped with Atlas
Copco's patented Elektronikon. The specifically
developed software - the Multicore Scroll Compressor
Controller (MSCC) - continuously monitors the status of the
core units, making optimum use of the possibilities this
concept provides, i.e. sequential operation and selective
capacity control resulting in energy savings. |
| The MSCC
makes the compressor modules operate as one coherent unit
with the ability of adjusting the compressed air production
by starting or stopping core units depending on the
fluctuations in the air demand. |
| ELEKTRONIKON
INTELLIGENCE |
| The
electronic regulator guarantees a smooth start-up of the
airends, eliminating starting current peaks but allowing
operation from zero to full capacity in a minimal amount of
time. The running hours are equally balanced over different
core units. |
| The
control algorithm keeps the air net pressure within a given
narrow pressure band by which the systems can handle
parameters to meet customer specifications. |
| The
alphanumeric display programmable in different languages
gives instant readouts of the operational data and status of
the core units. |
| Vital
functions are continuously scanned, thereby controlling the
units' overall operation. |
