GAO lubricants are offered for the wide range of duty requirements of today's compressors and vacuum pumps. Drawing on over 50 years of rotary pump technology and 100 years of reciprocating compressor experience, GAO lubricants effectively exceed machinery lubrication standards and reduce maintenance expense with extended change intervals and reduced overheating.

Lubricant Choice
GAO compressor and vacuum pump fluids are available in many formulations. Each requirement for lubrication, cooling, and sealing is based upon the specific application.

Viscosity requirements, special rust and oxidation inhibitors, anti-foaming agents and anti-wear additives to enhance the performance of the lubricant are the deciding factors in the makeup of each of our products.

Decide the proper viscosity grade by using the following table to convert SAE viscosity rated oils to GAO's ISO classified lubricants.

Air Compressor & Vacuum Pump Lubricants
Specific lubricant choices follow for each type compressor.

Rotary Compressor Lubricants
Designed for the extreme demands of flood lubrication in oil injected compressors.

GAO S-The 4000 Hour Lubricant
Produced from a blend of super-refined and dewaxed petroleum base stocks and synthetic fluids. GAO 46 S is recommended for most applications. In normal rotary compressor operation of 190-200° F. lubricant life of 4000 hours can be expected. It is extremely compatible with most plastic, polycarbonate and elastomeric compounds. In normal service, it separates easily from condensate and is compatible with similar OEM factory fill oil at substantial savings.

GAO P-The 8000 Hour Lubricant
Blended from PAO (Polyalphaolefin) base stocks and advanced additives, GAO 46 P is recommended for normal compressor operation of 190-200° F. where extended change intervals, reduced carryover, reduced disposal costs, seal compatibility and OEM factory fill compatibility are desired.

GAO F-The Food Grade Lubricant
Formulated from the highest quality synthesized hydrocarbon products available and blended with synthetic base fluids to provide extended lubricant life--up to 4000 hours in normal compressor operation of 190-200° F. Compatible with most seal-materials and readily separable, GAO F68 is recommended for applications requiring USDA H-I approval and complying with FDA2ICFR 178.3570 for lubricants with incidental food contac.

GAO G-The Polyglycol Replacement Fluid
Formulated polyclycol/ether blend to replace most OEM PAG (polyalkylene glycol) factory fill fluids. GAO 32 or 46 G is a proven superior product to resist oxidation and deposits. A cost saver versus Sullair or Ingersoll Rand products, it shares the factory fill' resistance to gravimetric separation of condensate.

Reciprocating Compressor Lubricants
Designed for the high temperature requirements of today's single and double acting splash and pressure lubricated compressors.

GAO D
A blend of diester base stocks and compressor duty additives, GAO 100 and 150 D provide excellent cylinder lubrication, resistance to carbon and varnish formation in all ages and design types of reciprocating compressors. In most cases the lubricant is demiscible for oil-condensate separation and is compatible with most plastics and elastomers. For easy recognition GAO D is dyed red and in many cases is a compatible, lower cost replacement for OEM lubricants.

GAO 100 P-Replacement Synthetic
A blend of PAO (polyalphaolefin) base stocks with compressor duty additives, GAO 100 P is recommended where cylinder lubrication, carbon, varnish and sludge resistance is desired as well as a wider compatibility with materials such as polycarbonate and low nitrile number BUNA products. Also available in lower ISO viscosity grades for vacuum pump, rotary and centrifugal compressor applications. This lubricant may be used in gearboxes and crankcases and easily separates from water and condensate.

Vacuum Pump Lubricants

Designed for the high temperature, low vapor pressure, carbon and varnish deposit-free requirement of vacuum pumps.

GAO100 M-590 Series Rotary Vane Replacement Fluid
A semi-synthetic blend of highly refined, solvent dewaxed, paffinic mineral oil base stocks, this ISO 100 viscosity grade lubricant is specifically designed for the high temperature needs of oil flood lubricated rotaary vane vacuum pumps such as Busch, Rietschle, Becker and Leybold.

GAO 100 P-Rotary and Reciprocating Vacuum Pump Fluid
A blend of PAO (polyalphaolefin) base stocks with compressor duty additives, GAO 100 P is recommended where carbon, varnish, and sludge resistance and extended life (up to 8 times that of normal mineral based lubricants) is desired. GAO 100 P has excellent seal compatibility and lower oil carryover and demister separator fouling rates. Other GAO vacuum pump oils are available for high vacuum applications and once-through and drip feed pumps.
